As a former collegiate athlete, I was constantly battling to keep my body healthy for the next game. There were numerous times where after a long and hard fought game, I would hop on the bus ride home only to suffer severe leg cramps. Even though my legs wouldn't be the same for days, I was still expected to practice with the team the next day. When I wasn't in class, I was in the training room trying my best to recover and feel a bit better for practice. It was there I noticed that the better half of my team and the majority of the other spring sport teams in the training room doing the same thing. I thought, there has to be a better way for athletes to remain healthy and keep their bodies fresh! Someone had to come up with a simpler solution to educate athletes on how to warm-up, exercise, cool down, and most importantly, limit injuries for themselves.
That person was ME.
Since graduating, I have studied the anatomy and physiology of the human body relating to sports. I have obtained certifications such as: Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), as well as becoming a Director of Sports Performance. I set out to find solutions that athletes (like myself) can use to recover from injuries more effectively, and also to improve their performance in any sport.
I want every athlete in the world to have the access to the best fitness and recovery products on the market, while also learning about their specific bodies and how they respond to stressors.
I hope you find value in our products and services at Athletes Prehab, and remain healthy along your fitness journey.
